| FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT | ||
| Fair Trade Fortnight runs from Monday 27th February to Sunday 11th March. The Fairtrade Group will be having a Coffee Morning on Satruday 10th March in the Church Hall from 10am - 12noon. | ||

| The Guild meets on Monday 20 February at 7.30pm in the church hall, when the speaker will be former moderator of the General Assembly, Very Rev John Mille. On Monday 19th March, Howe Trinity Guild presents its Scottish Night at 7.30pm. Entertainment from well known local fiddler, Paul Anderson and his wife, Shona. | ||

| OPEN MIKE | ||
| As part of the weekly notices, there will be an "open mike" slot available each week. This can be used for example, by leaders of groups or organisations in the church to publicise forthcoming events, or by church members to draw attention to events or situations in the wider Christian world, or by members or friends of Howe Trinity who would like to share an aspect of their faith with the wider congregation. To book a slot, please contact the minister - there will normally be only one slot available each week. | ||

It provides an opportunity to meet other Christians in a relaxed atmosphere and develop friendships. It is an opportunity for bible study, in which everyone can contribute their thoughts. It is an opportunity for the honest facing of doubts and questions. It is a place for encouragement and mutual support. It is a place where people can come and just be, secure in the knowledge that they are accepted just as they are. | Howe Trinity
Church Library contains a wide range of books relevant to the Christian faith,
available to friends and members of Howe Trinity. The Library will be open in
the church hall on the first Sunday of every month, but books can be borrowed
at any time, for up to one month - contact Somersal Shepley on Alford 64060 or
Sandra Wright on Alford 64365 for more information. Donations or loans of books
to the library are always welcome. We hope you will enjoy and benefit from this

| RECYCLE AT HOWE TRINITY | ||
| USED POSTAGE STAMPS | ||
| Post your stamps in the letter box in the vestibule (remember to leave a ¼" of paper round the stamp). These are forwarded to the Council of World Mission's Stamp Bureau. This year's World Mission Stamp Appeal is to raise money to support an outreach programme among the Roma people organised by the Church of Scotland's partner church in the Czech Republic. | TOOLS AND SEWING EQUIPMENT | ||
| Tools for Self-Reliance takes old tools and sewing equipment, reconditions them, and sends toolkits to tradesmen and women in the third world. For more information speak to Alec Keith on 62362 | ||
| OLD COINS AND BANKNOTES | ||
| The Scottish Bible Society takes old coins - pre decimal and out of date British coins and pre-Euro coins - along with current coins from all over the world. Put them in the shoe box at the foot of the tower by the front door. For every £3 received from the sale of these items, someone will receive a Bible, Children's Bible, New Testament or Gospel to share with their family or friends. | Old inkjet cartridges can be recycled to support the Leprosy Mission. Put your old cartridges (sorry, no Epson or Dell) in the big blue box in the vestibule. | ||
| MOBILE PHONES | ||
| Roy Cook has been selected to represent Gordon District Scouts at the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden in 2011. As part of his fund-raising effort, he is collecting old mobile phones - any make, whether working or not - to recycle. Contact Roy on 62282. | ||
